Sound Point Auto Lender GLS Said to Weigh $1 Billion Plus Sale

The owners of Global Lending Services are exploring a sale of the auto finance company, which could fetch more than $1 billion in a potential transaction, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Sound Point Capital Management, which owns a majority stake in GLS, is working with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to solicit interest from potential suitors in the business, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information. The effort is at an early stage and GLS and its owners could decide against a transaction, the people said.
