Shutt Leaves Fiera Private Debt; Valentini to Run It Temporarily

Theresa Shutt has stepped down as head of corporate debt at Fiera Capital Corp.’sprivate debt unit.

The Montreal-based money manager confirmed Shutt’s departure after more than 11 years. John Valentini, head of Fiera’s private markets business, will manage the corporate debt group on an interim basis, spokesperson Yasmine Sardouk said.

Shutt did not reply to requests for comment.

Fiera Private Debt focuses on corporate and infrastructure lending and has done financing deals recently for companies such as electricity producer Maxim Power Corp. and auto dealer Gestion Pierre Couture Inc., according to its website.
