Sheryl Sandberg’s New VC Firm Backs AI Health Startup Cercle

Sheryl Sandberg is backing women’s health tech startup Cercle, one of the first investments the former Meta Platforms Inc. chief operating officer is making through her new venture capital fund.

Cercle, a San Francisco-based startup, is using artificial intelligence to analyze biomedical and genomics data, with the goal of improving women’s health care. The startup represents the first AI investment from Sandberg Bernthal Venture Partners (SBVP), and comes at a time when investors and businesses are increasingly betting on the potential of artificial intelligence to upend the health care industry.
