Shenkman Raises $1.2 Billion for Inaugural Private Credit Fund

Shenkman Capital Management raised $1.2 billion of initial capital for its first private credit fund, roughly a year after partnering with JPMorgan Chase & Co. to expand into the fast-growing asset class.

The firm raised the money through a feeder fund backed by US insurance companies and plans to continue fundraising across a broader investor base, according to a person familiar with the matter. Shenkman disclosed the amount in a filing with the
Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this month.
