Serengeti Hires Citi ECM Banker Ray Yousefian for Venture Bets

Serengeti Asset Management hired former Citigroup Inc. equity capital markets banker Ray Yousefian as co-head of venture where he’ll oversee a new investment strategy, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

New York-based Yousefian will start after a period of so-called gardening leave, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing a private matter. He’ll work alongside Matthew Harman, a senior managing director at Serengeti, one of the people said.
