Serendipity Capital Hires Former Top Diplomat to Expand in UK

The former head of the British government’s fund for investing in sensitive technologies has joined a Singapore-based investment firm that’s looking to expand its investments in the UK.

Alex Fox, the former managing partner of the UK’s National Security Strategic Investment Fund, is joining Serendipity Capital Holdings Ltd.as a senior adviser, according to a statement. His hiring comes as the firm looks to back more British startups in industries including semiconductors, quantum computing, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
