Sagard Snaps Up Minority Stake in CLO Manager HalseyPoint

Alternative investment platform Sagard has acquired a 40% stake in CLO manager HalseyPoint Asset Management, adding to a pattern of large asset managers investing in the $1.3 trillion collateralized loan obligation market.

The stake sale closed on Friday, according to Adam Vigna, managing partner and chief investment officer at Sagard. The deal promises to widen Sagard’s credit offerings while also bolstering HalseyPoint’s CLO platform growth, according to a statement seen by Bloomberg News.
