Quantum Capital Group is targeting greater investment is the upstream oil and gas sector, which it sees as desperately needing capital if it is to power the electronification of the US economy.

The Houston-based private equity firm’s Executive Vice Chairman Dwight Scott said trends like artificial intelligence and data center development mean more money needs to start flowing into exploration and production.
