PJT Partners Gets License to Do Business in Japan, Adds Staff

New York-based boutique investment bank PJT Partners Inc. won a license to do business in Japan and has been adding staff, marking a return of sorts to the country for the firm’s founder Paul Taubman.

PJT received permission in late February, according to the Financial Services Agency’s website. The firm has also hired at least three people in the country since 2023, LinkedIn posts show.

A spokesperson for PJT declined to comment.
