Permira to Buy Encore Fire Protection for $1.8 Billion (Correct)

Permira has agreed to acquire Encore Fire Protection for about $1.8 billion including debt, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The fire safety company disclosed its transaction with the London-based investment firm to senior staff on Thursday, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. Encore Fire Protection, led by Chief Executive Officer Jeremy O’Connor, services, inspects, installs and maintains products including fire alarms, extinguishers and sprinklers, and was previously backed by Levine Leichtman Capital Partners.
