PAI Said to Hire Ardian’s Bellino for Flagship Italy Deals (1)

PAI Partners has hired a senior dealmaker from rival private equity firm Ardian to lead Italian investments for its flagship buyout fund, people with knowledge of the matter said.

Marco Bellino will be based in Milan and replaces Simone Cavalieri, who left PAI in recent months, according to the people. Bellino was Ardian’s deputy head of buyout for Italy.

Meanwhile, Ardian has poached Federico Fasciolo from Investindustrial as a managing director in Milan, the people said. Ardian’s buyout activity in Italy will continue to be led by Nicolò Saidelli, according to the people.
