Neuberger Berman Hires Mizuho’s Fujita for Japan Private Credit

Neuberger Berman has hired Mizuho Bank Ltd.’s Yasuyuki Fujita as a managing director and head of Japan private debt investment, according to people familiar with the matter, as alternative asset managers ramp up their operations in the country.

Fujita, who will start in November and be based in Tokyo, will be tasked with originating private credit deals and fundraising in Japan, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private information.

Spokespeople at Neuberger Berman and Mizuho declined to comment, as did Fujita, when contacted by Bloomberg News.
