Morgan Stanley Shuffles Investment Banking Leaders in Europe (1)

Morgan Stanley has made a raft of changes to its European investment banking leadership, ahead of an anticipated surge in mergers and acquisitions in the region.

The US bank has appointed William Bertagna as deputy head of investment banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to internal memos seen by Bloomberg News.

Bertagna is replacing Martin Grebner, who, along with Markus Fimpel, has been picked to co-run the bank’s industrials group in EMEA.

Karsten Hofacker, who previously led the industrials group in the region, is taking up the role of head of EMEA financial sponsors M&A.
