Medline Billionaire Buys One of Ken Griffin’s Chicago Condos (1)

Charlie Mills, the billionaire chairman of medical supplies firm Medline Inc., was the buyer one of financier Ken Griffin’s condos in Chicago, paying $7.4 million for the unit, according to public records.

Mills, whose family is worth about $42.9 billion, bought the condo, which spans the whole of the 35th floor of 9 West Walton Street in the Gold Coast neighborhood. The purchase, which was made via a land trust that does not disclose the buyer, closed in April and was only made public now, after Mills applied for a building permit to build out the empty floor. ...
