A co-founder of bankrupt Washington-based casino operator Maverick Gaming won an auction to buy a subset of the company’s casino and card rooms with a $28 million bid.
An entity managed by professional poker player and businessman Eric Persson was the top bidder for three of the company’s locations in Washington state, according to a notice filed Monday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Casino manager TIL Gaming was deemed a back-up bidder for the poker room assets with a $27 million offer.
