Luckey-Backed Nuclear Startup Valar Lands $2 Billion Valuation

Valar Atomics, the nuclear energy startup backed by Anduril Industries Inc. founder Palmer Luckey and Palantir Technologies Inc. executive Shyam Sankar, has raised fresh capital at a valuation of $2 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.

The startup brought in a total of $450 million in the deal, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. That includes $110 million in debt and $340 million in equity, some of the people said. The new valuation includes the dollars raised.

A representative for Valar declined to comment.
