Lightspeed’s Mhatre Sees 2026 as AI’s Demo-to-Deployment Year

Artificial intelligence is entering a mass deployment phase in 2026 that will force companies to rethink how work gets done, Lightspeed Venture Partners co-founder Ravi Mhatre said in a Bloomberg TV interview.

“AI is one of the biggest technology changes we will witness in our lifetime,” Mhatre said, describing the race to embed AI across workflows as “10x faster and 10x broader than any other platform shifts in technology.”

The rapid pace has left organizations reassessing their relevance, particularly across knowledge roles where automation of complex tasks is raising questions around productivity and workforce planning.
