Latham & Watkins advised Alexandria, Va.-based DC Capital Partners in a deal to add to its portfolio Digital Force Technologies, a designer and builder of hardware and software products for government agencies’ special operations.
According to a statement, DFT’s products, used worldwide, are equipped with artificial intelligence-enabled edge processors and advanced cameras and sensors to provide situational awareness, surveillance, and security for tactical missions. The San Diego-based company got advice from DLA Piper on the agreement, which calls for it to join DC Capital’s portfolio. .
DFT’s CEO, Justin MacLaurin, said in a statement DC Capital has a long, successful history in the government sector.
“With the backing of an industry leader like DC Capital, we can continue to grow our product lines and provide a solutions-oriented approach to our current customers, expand our customer base, and provide our employees with more personal and professional development opportunities.”
Jeffrey C. Weber, a partner at DC Capital, said, “We look forward to executing our strategy and taking DFT’s expertise to a broader group of national defense customers.”
No further terms were disclosed for the deal.
