KKR’s Infrastructure Investments Drive Best Returns in Portfolio

KKR & Co. highlighted infrastructure as a top area of investment, with that asset class driving the best returns in the alternative asset manager’s portfolio in the past 12 months.

The firm’s infrastructure business has grown to $77 billion of assets under management from $13 billion five years ago, Chief Financial Officer Robert Lewin said Thursday on the firm’s third-quarter earnings call. Its infrastructure investment portfolio generated an 18% return over the past 12 months, slightly more than the private equity business’s 17% result, the firm said in its third-quarter earnings release.
