KKR Said in Talks to Sell BMC Helix to Montagu for $900 Million

KKR & Co. is in exclusive talks to sell IT services firm BMC Helix to European private equity firm Montagu, people familiar with the matter said, in a test for investor appetite for a software-exposed business during a downturn for the sector.

KKR and Montagu are negotiating the terms of a deal that would value BMC Helix at around $900 million, according to the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private.

Montagu is also in talks with potential financing sources about backing the deal, they added.
