KKR Hires BlackRock Veteran Swarup as Chief Information Officer

KKR & Co. hired Ruchir Swarup as chief information officer to manage the alternative asset manager’s technology needs across its investing and client activities.

He’s joining from Addepar, a wealth-management software company, where he was chief technology officer, according to a statement Tuesday. Swarup previously worked at BlackRock for almost two decades in various tech-related roles.

“Ruchir will build upon the foundation our team has created and help deepen connectivity across the firm,” Chief Operating Officer Ryan Stork said in the statement.

Swarup will oversee KKR’s use of new technologies to create efficiencies and reduce risk, the company said.
