Jefferies Financial Group Inc. has hired Energy Capital Partners’s Lincoln Singleton as a managing director within its private fund group, a spokesman said.

Singleton, who previously worked at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors and Evercore Inc., expands Jefferies’ distribution coverage in southern US states and Latin America.

His appointment follows the firm’s additions of managing directors including Feike van Eeghen and Peter Bergschneider in recent months. The private fund group hired almost two dozen bankers, including its co-heads Daniel Claster and Andrew Wilbur, from Credit Suisse’s private fund group last summer.
