India’s ChrysCapital Raises Its Largest Fund With $2.2 Billion

ChrysCapital Management Co. closed its 10th private equity fund at $2.2 billion, beating its previous record as it hunts for more deals in industrials and health care.

The latest fund, more than 60% larger than Mumbai-based ChrysCapital’s ninth fund, has 30 new investors including from Japan, the US and Europe, Managing Partner Kunal Shroff said in an interview.

“On the global side, we’ve managed to attract a larger pool of investors, many of whom are investing for the first time in a country fund for private equity,” Shroff said.
