Hillhouse Hires Pepsi APAC Chief to Expand Consumer Investments

Asset manager Hillhouse Investment has hired PepsiCo Inc.’s Asia-Pacific Chief Executive Officer Wern-Yuen Tan in a push to expand consumer investments in the region.

Tan will start in March to lead Hillhouse’s global consumer investment practice, with a focus on Japan, according to a spokesperson for the company. He has lived in Japan and speaks fluent Japanese, the spokesperson said.
