Harvard Treasurer Timothy Barakett Is Appointed to KKR’s Board

KKR & Co. appointed Harvard University Treasurer Timothy R. Barakett to the firm’s board of directors.

He joined the 14-member board Thursday, becoming its 10th independent director, New York-based KKR said in a statement.

Barakett is the chair of Harvard Management Co., which manages the school’s $53 billion endowment, the founder and chief executive officer of TRB Advisors, a private investment firm and family office, and a board member of Athletic Brewing Co. and Rethink Food NYC.
