Goldman Private Equity Said to Be in Final Talks for Trackunit

Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s private equity arm is closing in on a deal to buy Danish telematics firm Trackunit, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Goldman unit is in advanced talks with Trackunit’s owner, buyout firm Hg, about a deal that could value the business at more than $1 billion, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is confidential.

Hg is considering keeping a stake in the company, which was founded in Denmark in 2003, the people said. Deliberations are ongoing and negotiations could still fall apart, according to the people.
