Goldman Is Said to Hire Barclays Tech Banker Nordin as Partner

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. hired Barclays Plc dealmaker Adam Nordin as its lead banker in the education technology and services group, according to an internal memo.

Nordin will join the U.S. bank’s technology, media and telecom group and be based in Chicago, according to the Thursday memo. Nordin joined Barclays in 2010 and worked on deals including Ascend Learning’s sale to Blackstone Group LP and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and the sale of education-software maker Blackboard Inc. to private-equity firm Providence Equity Partners, according to his LinkedIn profile.
