Yup Kim Leaving Chief Investment Role at Texas Pension (1)

Former Calpers private equity executive Yup Kim is leaving the Texas Municipal Retirement System after serving as its chief investment officer for two years, according to people familiar with the matter.

Tom Masthay, who currently serves as deputy CIO for the $47.2 billion pension system, will take over for Kim, said the people, who asked not to be identified citing confidential information.

TMRS didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
