Framer Raises VC Funding Round at $2 Billion Valuation (1)

Framer, a Dutch company that makes tools for automating web design, has raised a funding round at a $2 billion valuation.

Existing investors Meritech Capital Partners and Atomico led the $100 million financing, Framer said in a statement on Thursday.

The Amsterdam-based startup was formed in 2014 by two designers who sold their prior company, Sofa, to Facebook three years earlier. Framer initially offered prototyping tools for designing websites. It soon added services for web publishing and “no-code” development.
