Family Office CIO for $7.4 Billion Fortune Exits After HQ Move

The family office for one of the world’s biggest infrastructure fortunes lost its top money manager after recently exiting the country where it was founded more than a decade ago.

Maarten Weiss served since 2020 as chief investment officer for Ferrovial SE billionaire Rafael del Pino’s family office, Rijn Capital, while it was based in the Netherlands, but left after the firm relocated this year to Luxembourg, registry filings show. He’s now searching for senior investment roles in the Netherlands or London, according to LinkedIn data.
