Ex-Raine Bankers Said to Plan Hiring Spree for New India Firm

Newly established 45North Advisors plans to hire up to 18 investment bankers over the next year to seize on opportunities in India for capital raising and mergers and acquisitions, according to people familiar with the matter.

The roles range from analyst to vice president and executive director, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private. 45North was founded this year by three veteran bankers — Gaurav Mehta, Naveen Asopa and Girish Punjabi — who have worked together for more than 12 years, including for boutique adviser Raine Group, which they left recently.
