EQT Chief Sees AI Rout as Opportunity for Fresh Tech Bets

The broad selloff in public markets triggered by fears of artificial intelligence disruption provides an opportunity to snap up technology firms on the cheap, according to private equity giant EQT AB.

“We think now is potentially an attractive time to source really interesting opportunities within software,” Per Franzen, EQT’s chief executive officer, said in an interview Wednesday. He added that the firm would never overexpose any of its funds to any single sector.
