Elliott Ramps Up Its AI Efforts With Key Hire From Blackstone

Elliott Investment Management hired former Blackstone Inc. executive Teresa Sweeney to run the roughly $80 billion hedge fund firm’s global research and data science group.

Sweeney joined this month and is expected to build out artificial intelligence for the unit, which houses about 40 research members and three data scientists who handle due diligence and research for prospective deals, according to people familiar with the matter.
