Coatue Starts New Fund, Seeks $400 Million From JPMorgan Clients

Philippe Laffont’s Coatue Management is delving further into private investing, launching a new venture capital fund and enlisting JPMorgan Chase & Co. to help with fundraising.

JPMorgan’s private bank is seeking to raise as much as $400 million from clients to invest in Coatue’s newest fund, which will focus on later-stage growth companies, according to a person with knowledge of the matter, who asked not to be named because the information isn’t public.
