Citadel Brings Gillanders From Retirement to Head Europe Stocks

Drew Gillanders, who retired from Citadel a year ago, is coming back to lead the International Equities unit of the $58 billion hedge fund giant in Europe.

The 51-year-old who previously worked as a portfolio manager at Citadel between 2019 and 2022, will report to the firm’s co-chief investment officer Pablo Salame, according to a company spokesman. Sean Salji, the current head of International Equities, will transition to a new role as senior adviser to the unit starting July 1.
