CI Capital Revamps Strategy, Drops Plans for Latest PE Fund

CI Capital Partners is changing strategy to hold investments for longer periods and will drop plans for its latest private equity fund.

The firm will adopt “more of a family office approach” to bolster returns, while continuing to manage outside capital, Chief Executive Officer Fred Iseman said in a letter to investors Monday.

“There is a clear opportunity to produce far better returns in future deals if we are not limited to owning companies for just five years,” Iseman wrote. “We don’t want to be forced to sell too soon.”
