CD&R Looks to Raise $26 Billion for Latest Private Equity Fund

Clayton Dubilier & Rice is seeking $26 billion for its latest flagship private equity fund, an ambitious target that would count among the industry’s largest-ever fundraises.

CD&R has begun pre-marketing the fund to potential investors and plans to launch the formal fundraising process in the first half of this year, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information.

The latest fund could be larger than $28 billion, including an investment from the firm itself, the people said. CD&R declined to comment on the fundraise.
