Carlyle Group Hires JPMorgan’s Kapp as an Infrastructure Partner

Carlyle Group Inc. hired JPMorgan Chase & Co. asset-management executive Andrew Kapp as a partner and managing director within its infrastructure group.

Kapp will join Pete Taylor and Matt O’Connor as part of the senior investment leadership team supporting Chief Investment Officer Pooja Goyal, according to a memo from Macky Tall, chair of Carlyle’s infrastructure group. Infrastructure is a “strategic priority” for Carlyle, and the Washington-based firm will invest in talent as it seeks to scale its platform, he said.
