Carlyle Gets $318 Million Private Loan for Stake in Waste Firm

Carlyle Group Inc. has turned to private credit to finance its acquisition of a majority stake in Australian waste management firm Waste Services Group Pty., according to a person familiar with the matter.

The private equity firm has finalized a unitranche loan of over A$500 million ($318 million) from Ares Management Corp., KKR Credit Advisorsand UBS Group AG to help buy the stake from Livingbridge EP LLP, said the person asking not to be identified as the matter is private.
