Carlsberg Sees Less Beer Sales on Weaker Consumer Demand

Carlsberg A/S beer volumes fell more than expected in the third quarter as consumer sentiment in a number of key markets remains subdued.

Overall organic volumes declined 3%, the Danish brewer said in a statement Thursday, compared with a 2.76% drop expected by analysts. While there was some slight growth in Western Europe, volumes were down in Asia, Central and Eastern Europe and India.
