Calpers’ Bienvenue to Leave Pension Fund for General Atlantic

California Public Employees’ Retirement System Deputy Chief Investment Officer Dan Bienvenue is leaving the pension fund to join private equity firm General Atlantic.

Bienvenue will leave April 18 to join General Atlantic as a managing director, according to a staff-wide memo from Calpers Chief Executive Officer Marcie Frost. He will lead the firm’s capital solutions initiatives for pension plans.

Calpers said no successor for Bienvenue has been named.
