Brookfield Says Private Credit Not Crowding Out Private Equity

Brookfield Asset Management Ltd.’s head of private equity Anuj Ranjan sees the sector growing side by side with private credit.

“I wouldn’t say it edged out private equity,” Ranjan said of private credit during a Bloomberg Television interview in Riyadh on Tuesday, where he is attending Saudi Arabia’s Future Investment Initiative.

Ranjan added that an anticipation of pullback in government funding “opens up a huge opportunity for private capital.”
