A spokesperson confirmed Carrier’s departure to Bloomberg News on Thursday, adding he’s stepping down in the first quarter of next year “due to personal reasons.”
Carrier’s departure has been communicated to some fund investors, according to a person familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity to discuss information that wasn’t yet public. Carrier joined Bregal in November 2021 after previously working at CPP Investments for more than 13 years.
