Bow River Capital Hires Former Citi Tech Banking Chair Hantho

Former Citigroup Inc. technology and communications banking chairman Mark Hantho is joining alternative asset manager Bow River Capital Partners LLC as its executive chairman.

Hantho will start at the Denver-based firm in September, according to a statement reviewed by Bloomberg News. He retired from Citi earlier this year to pursue other opportunities after working in the bank since 2019.

Hantho previously spent more than 18 years at Deutsche Bank AG, where he served as global head of equity capital markets. He’s also worked at Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Corp.
