Blackstone’s AirTrunk Funds Japan Growth With $1.2 Billion Loan

Blackstone Inc.-owned data center operator AirTrunk Pte has secured one of the largest financings in the artificial-intelligence infrastructure sector in Japan as part of an expansion plan.

The company secured a ¥191.6 billion ($1.2 billion) green loan to refinance existing debt and fund an expansion of a data center in Tokyo, according to a company announcement Tuesday. The loan was led by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc, Credit Agricole CIB and Societe Generale as global coordinators.
