Blackstone Weighs Bid for UK Storage Landlord Big Yellow (1)

Blackstone Inc is weighing an offer for UK storage landlord Big Yellow Group Plc.

The alternative asset manager is in the preliminary stages of considering a cash offer for the company, according to a statement Monday. The impact of the upcoming UK budget and wider macro-economic environment form part of New York based Blackstone’s considerations, it said.

Shares in Big Yellow jumped as much as 20% following the statement, the most on record.
