Blackstone Inc.has elevated its European wealth head to a global role and hired a former UBS Group AG executive to replace her as the firm races to sell its products to ever more retail investors.
Simona Maellare will join Blackstone as head of EMEA for private wealth, according to a statement Tuesday. Maellare was most recently global co-head of the alternative capital group at UBS.
She will replace Rashmi Madan, who becomes global head of portfolio solutions for private wealth, a newly-created business that looks to offer investments across Blackstone’s strategies to financial advisers.
