Ben Black Seeks More Risk, Private Investors for DFC Deals

President Donald Trump’s surprise pick to lead an obscure federal agency that invests in development finance said he plans to take on more risk and attract private investors to its deals.

Ben Black, 40, who is nominated to run the US International Development Finance Corp., said that taking more equity risk should be instrumental to the agency as it works more closely with the private sector.
