BC Partners to Acquire Servier’s Generic Drug Unit Biogaran (2)

Les Laboratoires Servier has entered into exclusive talks to sell generic drugmaker Biogaran to private equity firm BC Partners, almost a year after shelving earlier talks to divest the business.

Servier and BC Partners are looking to finalize the definitive agreements, according to a statement on Wednesday. A transaction would value Biogaran at more than €800 million ($924 million), people familiar with the matter said, asking not to be identified as the information is private.

State-owned investment firm Bpifranceis in advanced talks with BC Partners to become a minority shareholder in Biogaran, the people said.
