Aviva Ratchets Up Private Markets Exposure in Default Pensions

Aviva Plc is ramping up the amount of private markets exposure that pensioners who opt for its default funds can receive, doubling their allocation to alternative investments like private equity, real estate and infrastructure.

Pensioners that stick with Aviva’s standard portfolio under the new My Future Vision strategy will now have 20% to 25% of their holdings in investments that were once the preserve of sophisticated institutional investors, according to a statement Tuesday.
